If you’re visiting the North of France, you’ll find a few « estaminets » still open. In these typical Flandre cafés, as « Chez la vieille » in Lille, you can eat regional specialties in a retro atmosphere which will remind you of the famous Braderies.
On the menu, you can find : goat cheese waffles, endive gratin, chicken with maroilles cheese, apple flavored andouillette, and as for the dessert, you must taste the speculoos mousse. And of course, as beer is a must-drink there, there are many different choices on the menu.
