Tuesday night Suitehotel organized a party on the top floor of the Centre Pompidou in Paris. It was my first time at the Georges, the restaurant named after the first name of the former French president. And it was a splendid evening. I have to admit I was seduced as soon as I put foot on the escalator that runs on the side of the building. I used to go there for the exhibitions and not so long ago for the library too (after hours in the queue) but it was an entire new thing to discover the building for a party. The restaurant is located on the 6th floor and the view is absolutely breathtaking with the famous sights of Paris almost at arm’s reach, Notre-Dame, the Eiffel Tower, the Sacré-Coeur in the distance and that’s a first, the newly restored top of St Jacques Tower.

But the fun was definitely inside with lots of things happening at the same time : you could try your skills at presenting the weather in a real TV studio, you could receive a massage, admire the large painting done during the evening or browse Nomadsphere.com.

Jö who does all the drawings for Suitehotel.com and for the blog was there that night. She kindly sketched anyone who asked her. Alexandra for the German version of Mysuiteblog and I really enjoyed getting our portraits done.

But the main event of the day was definitely the Suitejump station in the back of the room. It was a great success. Some people I won’t name even broke the bed but the fun continued afterwards.

I have to admit I must have jumped just a bit too many times because ever since my back has been hurting. But luckily every Suitehotel offers a fitness center with plenty of exercise tools. It’s open 24/7, there’s even a complimentary massage offered on Thursday evenings. It’s too late for the massage but while I wait for the next session I might just spend the rest of the week relaxing in one of the Suitehotel experimenting the fitness center.

But now comes the hardest part : where am I going to go ?
