Yeah I know, it is an easy way to start a post. But I grew up watching re-runs of Mission: Impossible on the 6th Channel every saturday afternoons (and the Avengers too but I will come back to that another day) so I thought I would start the week with a nice tribute.
Anyway, back to the mission.
The Suitejump challenge is officially open for business. Do your best. Get a costume, practice your jumps (trust me it’s not that easy) and get a real good camera (as well as a good photographer). Then post your best Suitejump move in HERE. Get votes from your friends, your family and random strangers on the internet. Seduce our panel of international judges and you might win the Suitejump grand prize. We accept photos and videos so don’t be shy to show us your performance because the gift is really worth the hard work, it’s a Grand-Week-End package in a Suitehotel.
I’ve heard a new Suitehotel will soon open in Marrakech… Don’t you think you’d very qualified to discover it?
So don’t waste a minute and post your picture.
Oh and by the way… This post will self-destruct in five seconds
“I give it a 5.8 or a 5.9. That somersault was pretty impressive in FIS-Suitejump standards”.
That’s probably what an international panel of judges would have said while watching us last Tuesday. Yes, some of the jumps weren’t that terrific (mine for example) and some failed completely, but none lacked in enthusiasm that’s for sure!
But I fear that I’m being too cryptic so let me explain what happened last Tuesday.
A few of us were invited at the Paris-Stade de France Suitehotel to experience a Suitejump session. The staff and Ahmed, the manager, kindly greeted us with champagne, drinks and food.
But everybody’s attention was focused on the main suite, re-arranged for the occasion with a full photo studio and a costume rack.
You could hear roars of laughter as people were choosing their disguise and deciding with Julien, the photographer, in which position they would jump. The atmosphere was relaxed and customers from the Suitehotel joined us in the fun. The whole group got really excited at the idea of winning the challenge. The goal is to be voted the best Suitejump picture on mysuiteblog.com in order to win an outstanding prize from Suitehotel (aka a Grand Week-End package at a destination of your choice). You can participate as well and post your best jumps on the blog.
You can find a preview of the jumps on the Flickr Account or read reports over at Victor, Laurent or Ju’s blogs (in French).
