You know how sometimes people ask you what your hobbies are? I always say I love photography (black and white especially). But it’s time for me to admit that my talents are limited. I would probably fall under the “compulsive photograph-ist” category (tourist with a hint of photographer who tends to take snapshots of everything and everyone in a mile radius). I have to say my old and battered digital camera doesn’t help either. I was very happy with it for the first 3 years of its life but trips to the freezing cold of the Alps and a full three weeks in the wave heat of New York finished it off. When I visited Berlin three weeks ago the poor thing clearly made me understand that our collaboration would soon come to a painful end.
So now I am looking for a replacement. Two options are offered: go for the small compact digital camera that you can bring everywhere in your pocket or go for the professional bridge (and its bag).
I still haven’t decided what I’m going to do. But we are already in April and the summer holidays are coming fast. Luckily Suitehotel launched a Digital Camera scheme for guests (no matter the length of your stay). If you ask the staff they can lend you a digital camera for the duration of your trip. When you come back there will be 20 pictures of your holidays waiting for you at home printed via a partnership with myPix.com.
So while I use a Suitehotel camera for my holidays, any tips of what kind of camera I should go for?
