The numbers are huge. It seems that in Europe 29% of Internet users regularly access the web from their mobile. Apparently the scores are higher in Italy, Germany, France, Spain and the UK than in the rest of the EU.

Almost three years ago I purchased a new mobile phone with a 3G Package that allowed me (at the time) to browse the internet for free for about 20 minutes. 3 years ago no one I knew actually used that service. I was using it to check my emails when I was away from a wireless connection for too long and people kept telling me that I was quite obsessed with my emails.

Nowadays I’m still using my mobile phone and its 20 minutes of web-browsing for that purpose, except that my friends, colleagues and relatives are now using their brand new mobiles for the same purpose too… and for a lot of other things as well. They’re watching videos on YouTube, arranging their next dates on Meetic and getting entertained with poker rounds.

And I’m still only getting my emails. Of course watching videos on my small screen wouldn’t be very comfortable. Nowadays the screens and browsers are compatible therefore allowing easier browsing time.

So what are your browsing habits? Do you use your iPhone or a regular mobile phone to go check your emails and watch videos and keep up with the last news?
