So have you guessed in which towns the next Suitehotels are about to open ? The game was not easy but the waiting is over as I am now allowed to give you the first answer.
On the 26th of January 2009 a new Suitehotel will open in the French town of Reims. The Suitehotel will only be 5-minutes away from the railway station and few minutes away from the centre of town.
Reims is famous for its champagne, so don’t forget to make use of the Suitehotel Smart to visit the famous vineyards of the region.
With the brand new TGV Est you will be in Paris in 45 minutes, at the Roissy CDG airport in 1 ½ hour and in Strasbourg in 2 hours.
You can book your suite here.

Suitejump winners already know what I am about to say: a Suitehotel is about to open in Marrakech bringing our favourite 30-square-meter Suites for the first time to Africa. However it is a very exciting time for Suitehotel in general as two other openings are scheduled for the next few months.
I wish I could tell you all the details but I promised the higher authorities I would not reveal under any circumstances the destinations… But I still can help you guess them by giving you a few pointers.
Our first destination is a French town which played a major rôle in history. The town has solid and ancient links with aviation and sparkling beverages. It is now very easy to get there with the brand new TGV (high-speed train). Its Suitehotel will open in January 2009.
Our second mysterious town was founded in the VIIIth century very far away from Europe. It is a town known all around the world for its extraordinary architectural projets and a very solid economy. When the Suitehotel open there in march 2009 you’ll have a hard time deciding whether you want to go check out the desert or go on yacht to see the sunset.
So… any idea ?
- mysuiteblog » Archive du blog » The new French Suitehotel: […] have you guessed in which...

They have just arrived. The results. The results of the Suitejump Tour.
You were 250 candidates. The fight was harsh, the arguments sometimes fierce but your fans supported and cheered you up until the very end of the challenge.
It is very clear when reading the comments that everything was analyzed : choreography, enthusiasm, costumes and inspiration were thoroughly considered but only 3 pictures earned enough votes on all three versions of the blog to claim victory.
So here they are.
The winner is a contestant from the Berlin Suitehotel with picture n°9100. You were 355 fans to vote for her Ratatouille-themed Suitejump. Congratulations to her, she wins a week at Marrakech Suitehotel (to open soon).
It seems Berlin Suitehotel is the place to Suitejump. It is indeed an other Berliner Suitejumper who takes away the 2nd place with picture n°9113 and it’s Ancient Greece inspired jump.
The last prize is awarded to a Suitejumper from Rueil Malmaison Suitehotel and his disco choreography. The Suite is completely transformed by all the records and we can only admire his amazing agility.
These two candidates win a Grand Week-End package in the Suitehotel of their choice.
Congratulations again to all of the 250 participants for their enthusiasm and creativity.
He’s a young and talented photographer. His name is Thomas Salva and he’s the Suitejump Tour 2008 official photographer.
He kindly answered some of our questions about the Tour.
Suiteblog : Hello Thomas. You are the Suitejump Tour official photographer. The activity could seem strange to some of the readers. I mean, jumping on beds and taking pictures… did you anything about it before starting on the Suitejump Tour ?
Thomas : Yes I knew about it. Halsman used that idea in the 50’s and he called it Jumpology. It wasn’t exactly jumping on beds. He used to take pictures of models jumping. The most famous picture is probably the one of Dali jumping with cats. It’s pretty surrealistic. Thanks to him we all enjoyed the experience.
Suiteblog : It must be pretty hard to catch the perfect moment during a jump isn’t it ? The jump, the facial expressions and the light… How many negatives do you have for a single evening ?
Thomas Salva : Well… the average number of jumps is usually 3 for each Suitejumper. But you are right the perfect moment is indeed pretty hard to catch. But the settings are more or less the same every time so as long as I set the lights right the first time it’s usually okay. However what was more difficult was to preserve the atmosphere of the room too, it’s a very different technique from the jump photography in itself.
Suiteblog : The Suitejump Tour ended a few days ago. It was a busy month for you. You went to France and Switzerland. How would you sum up that experience ?
Thomas Salva : Oh it was a blast. A month full of encounters and laughter. But we all had a very busy and exhausting month. We spent a lot of time on the road. We had to keep the level of motivation high all day long and during the evening as well for alteration.
There was some confusion with the organization but in the end the outcome and memories were really good.
Suiteblog : The guests must have quite surprised at first but did they enjoyed it ?
Thomas Salva : Yes, the concept is unusual and some explications were needed but once the guests started they refused to leave the beds.
Suiteblog : Do you want to share a special memory with us ?
Thomas Salva : I only have good memories. Take Lille Airport for example with a wild manager , same thing in Calais and the amazing evening in Cannes. But the best Suitejump is probably at the Geneva Suitehotel. The team was very enthusiastic and the managing director particularly welcoming. He arrived dressed from head to toe in his alpine ski outfit and let me tell you that the jump was unforgettable !
In spite of the exhaustion and the pressure, each date was a nice day.
Thank you Thomas for answering all our questions.
